A1.The Portuguese were the first to start trade with India.

The others who started trading with India were:
1.Denmark
2.France
3.Britain

Q3.
A3.Each of the countries trading with India wanted a bigger share of the trade so they fought among themselves.In the end the British won the fight.
Q8.
A8.The British had superior weapons and greater military strength and many Indians also sided with the British,so they were able to crush the revolt of 1857.
